I began painting nearly twenty years ago, working initially only with watercolour. My choice of medium is now influenced by the subject matter. I am inspired by the play of light on the landscape, by winter trees and by seeing how far I can push mixed media. My favourite places in Britain are the Scottish islands but I am also inspired by 

foreign trips.
