Studio & Classes
The Gallery provides a space where local artists can create and share their work.
Regular classes and workshops covering all styles of painting are usually held throughout the year.
Room hire charges from 1st January 2024

£40.00 per day - 10.00 - 4.00
£20.00 per half day - 10.00 - 1.00 or 1.00 - 4.00
Members hiring the Studio will be given a discount of £10 per day (£5 per half day) NB exceptions to these timings can be made using the appropriate rates.

When booking, bear in mind the Studio has a regular Tuesday Art Group and is occasionally used on Saturdays. (See below) The studio has 14 2ft x 4ft lightweight tables which can be quickly set out.

Tuesday Art Group

Started by Rob Walker, and continuing with Carmen, Ged and Elidh, this is a self contained group with in the Arts Centre. Its members aim to develop their art skills in company and hope have occasional tutors as the group develops. This group is open to new members. It starts at 10am and finishes at lunchtime. If you want to join, email us coartcentre@aol.co.uk and we will put you in touch.
Saturday Classes 2024
In the Coquetdale Art Gallery Studio we run Saturday classes for up to 12 people taught by an artist who has expertise to share.
You do not need to be a member to attend a class and beginners are always welcome. Each class costs around £25 and runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm, with a lunch break, of course.

We ask you to give us at least two weeks notice if you have booked a class and cannot attend. To secure a place in one of our classes you should pay in advance. If you cannot visit the Gallery to do this let us know and we will give you the details of how to make a bank transfer.
