Elidh Gardiner
Elidh writes:
"Brought up in Lancashire, I moved to the North East in 1975 to study and never left. I worked as a Graphic Designer for eight years before changing career to teach firstly Design and Technology, then Art and Design. Joining my husband in Fiji gave me the opportunity to begin developing my own work and after three years teaching part time as well as learning, at the University of the South Pacific, returned to Northumberland.
I joined the Coquetdale Art Gallery in 2012 and enjoy depicting my journey from home in Whittingham to Rothbury in different ways as well as experimenting with watercolour techniques. I like to work in acrylic as well and in a variety of scales. My subject matter is based around my travels, sailing in Scotland, walking in Northumberland and sometimes the myths and legends I encounter.
Current paintings for sale in the Coquetdale Art Gallery are on my website
