Born in Bradford, Michael has developed his drawing and painting skills by attending courses at Bradford Art College, Bristol Art College, Newcastle College and both Newcastle and Northumbria Universities. He has written and delivered Art Open College accredited courses for people with learning disabilities and mental ill health, to aid personal development. He actively supports Art in the community.

Michael has exhibited in many North East community settings. In recent years he has attended courses offered by other artists and is currently a member of Tynemouth Art Group and Cullercoats Art Club.

Michael is also a  member of the Society for All Artists and Network Artists North East.

         

Michael works in acrylics, pastel and pencil from his home in Whitley Bay and likes to share, in his art, his passion for the outdoors and wildlife.

He has taken commissioned art work in people, pets and buildings.
