Larraine writes “I live in a Northumberland coastal town where I practise and exhibit my art.
My professional background was in social work and teaching, but I have always loved art and its history. In recent years I have taken this interest further by taking a Diploma in Art and Design followed by a Foundation Degree in Applied Art. I am now exploring my ideas and developing my own methods.
I draw, paint, print, engrave, free embroider and work with plexiglass. All my pieces are contemporary.
The subjects of my current work are eclectic, from exploring scientific and geographical concepts to producing figurative and abstract images connected to the place I live, its beauty and heritage.”
