Edmund 'upcycles' small items of furniture and his '45'record clocks are very popular. All are painted with his atmospheric images. He also produces paintings so he is both a painter and a craft maker.
Edmund writes 'I was born in Northumberland and worked 33 years outdoors on the rivers, lakes and coasts of Northumberland and Durham and up to 6 miles out on the North Sea. I was a late starter in art and just picked up a paintbrush when I was 73 years old.
I use Oils, Watercolour , acrylic, and have recently experimented with a mixture of acrylic and epoxy resin, treating small items of furniture as a canvas.'
