Eric’s main focus and subject is Northumberland and he is passionate about its romantic atmospheres, coastal beauty and intrigue as well as its ancient history, castles and roman walls etc., its endlessness in delivering wonder and adventure. He sometimes uses Northumbrian folklore in his paintings.
Eric received a Foundation Certificate in Fine Art from Northumbria University 2004; followed by his Foundation Degree Fine Art from Newcastle College in 2008. Then in 2010 he graduated with BA Hons Fine Art from Sunderland University.
Eric uses his artistic skills in his profession working for the Northumberland Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust, within The Arts Project Department. Eric and his team facilitate creative practices for adults with learning difficulties and autism. He works as part of an Arts Project setup within OT Therapeutic Activities Service, which is acknowledged by The Arts Council of England and throughout the Trust.
